It’s Diwali today :)

People are so happy and gay.

Crackers and lights all over,

Sweets and snacks like never!

I eat them humbly and sit with books,

For there’s an exam and I’m on tenterhooks..

Oh, why cant I be with people around...?

With fun and frolic all abound...?

I know I’m not popular like my brother,

And don’t fit in with the crowd either..

But right now I need someone,

To coax me out and show me fun,

For (come on) it’s Diwali, the festival of light and sound,

And I so wanna run around..
